Schedule your Service

Once Empire Xteriors receives your down payment we will put you on the schedule.

Prior to Install

Empire Xteriors will let the homeowner know when the material will be dropped.  Prior to install, we encourage customers to cut their grass, move valuables away from the perimeter of their home, and move their cars out of the garage and off their driveway.  We use trailers to haul away all debris and will need that space. We arrive between 7-7:30 AM on service date.

Set Up

Before we begin, we will take extra precaution around your home.  Some things you may see are: tarps to collect trash, OSB against windows and doors, a protections around your A/C Unit, and pre-pictures.

Tear Off

Empire Xteriors will tear off all existing material related to the service.  We will then inspect for any rotted wood and relay our findings to the homeowner.  All debris will be placed in a trailer and be hauled away upon completion of the job.

Install of Underlayment

Our crew will install ice and water shield in valleys, along wall lines, chimneys, and any other penetrations.  We will also install synthetic felt completely over any exposed OSB/decking at this time.

Install of Drip edge and Gutter Apron

Drip edge is installed along the gable lines and gutter apron is installed over the gutter lines.  Drip edge and gutter apron are required by code in most cities and towns.  We will negotiate any costs associated with this with your insurance at no extra cost to you.

Shingles are now ready to be installed.  We install shingles with a guarantee 6-nail system.  Debris from shingles will be picked up during this time.

Chimney Flashing and Ventilation

If you have a chimney, your chimney counter and step flashing will get completed at this time.  Ventilation systems will also be installed.  Ventilation systems include hip/ridge vents or 750-box vents.

Clean Up

Our crew will run a magnet along the area of service to pick up any nails or metal pieces. They will blow the roof, gutters, and sidewalks/driveway of debris. The trailer will remove all debris from the job site.  Our goal is to make the home look as clean as possible after a large and extensive service job is completed.
